MONDAY 28TH NOV. LESSON

Good morning!
Yesterday we spoke about music and reviewed when a question is formed without using the auxiliary verb (Who bought the tickets?) and then we did a brain teaser (A teaser a day keeps dementia away!) and finally we did 3 listening exercises about travelling by plane, about booking a flight and about a girl talking about her family.
I will send you the exercises and listening tracks by email in case you want to do them again at home. 


TRY TO PRACTISE LISTENING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. LISTEN TO EVERYTHING YOU CAN IN ENGLUSH (DVDs, series, films, internet...)

WED. 23rd NOV. LESSON + HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY 28th

Yesterday we practised mainly the SPEAKING SKILL: we used the questions in the workbook (p. 16 +20) and then they DESCRIBED SOME PICS.


Besides, we also did the 2 LISTENING EXERCISES P. 27 and we finised with Unit 2C- p. 20 talking about music and introducing the QUESTIONS WITHOUT AUXILIARIES (grammar explanation on p. 128- 2C)

HOMEWORK: WRITE ABOUT AN UNFORGETTABLE OR MEMORABLE DAY OR MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE- it could be an exciting experience or an awful situation (remember to use connectors and as much voc. as you can and use the correct verb tense- simple past or past cont.)





If you want EXTRA GRAMMAR PRACTICE of past continuous and prepositions, you can do UNIT 2B in your WORKBOOK.

MONDAY 21ST LESSON

Here we are once again!!!!!!


Ok, yesterday we practised the use of the prepositions IN/AT/ON (ex. on page 148 +p. 19 + p. 25)
We finised UNIT 2B + Reading + Listening + Speaking (description of pictures using present continuous or past continuous).
We finally checked WORKBOOK UNIT 2D


Tomorrow we'll keep practising SPEAKING + LISTENING. 


Remember the WRITTEN EXAM is next FRIDAY!!!! So, try to practise as much as possible these weeks!!!

WED. 16TH NOV. LESSON + HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY 21ST

Good morning everybody!!! How are you this rainy, foggy day??? 
Just smile 


Ok, yesterday we checked doubts in the workbook unit 2A and then we finished Unit 2D (Listen to the story on p. 22, retell the story using the pics on p. 23 and listen to the end of the story). Apart from that, we practised the pronunciation of the letter 'a' and of the 'schwa' in Unit 2B.


Homework for Monday:
- WORKBOOK UNIT 2D
- RECORD YOUR VOICE. Click here and just start recording yourself. YOU CAN EITHER READ THE TEXT ON P. 22 OR YOU CAN JUST RETELL ME THE SAME STORY USING THE PICS. ON P. 23, as you did yesterday in class. 
COME ON, YOU JUST NEED A SIMPLE MICROPHONE. I'll send you feedback of your recording. 
Remember to pronounce the end of the simple past forms CORRECTLY!!!!

MONDAY 14TH LESSON

Hellloooooooo...yesterday we:
- Wrote a text using vocabulary on p. 23 (expressions such as 'to take somebody to a restaurant, to knock on the door, etc..)
- Then, we practised the simple past and past continuous trying to predict a story you have on p. 5 in your dossier of copies.
- Finally, we did an exam-type listening about holidays.


On Wednesday we'll correct WORKBOOK UNIT 2A + Reading exercises p. 22

FRIDAY 11TH LESSON & HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY

Morning everybody!!!


Yesterday we:
- corrected the writing about your partners' last holiday and checked general mistakes
- Then, we skipped some pages and went directly to Unit 2D. We read the info about CONNECTORS (but, although, so, because) and did exercises on p. 128-129 (2D).
- After that, we practised the connectors finishing the sentences on p. 7 in your dossier of copies. 
- Finally, we went back to p. 22 and read and ordered the Reading, introducing the PAST CONTINUOUS (i.e. I was sleeping at 7 a.m. yesterday morning)


That was it!!!!


On Monday, we will:
- Correct WORKBOOK UNIT 2A (as I told you on Wednesday)
- Correct the questions below the reading on p. 22 (Unit 2D) and the vocabulary exercise on p. 23

WED. 9TH LESSON

Hello, yesterday we finished Unit 2A:
- Reviewed pronunciation of Simple Past (regular + irregular verbs) p. 17
- Did the Listening about disastrous holidays - p. 17
- Did a speaking + writing about your partners' last holidays- p. 17 If you were not in class you can WRITE ABOUT YOUR LAST HOLIDAYS using the questions you have on p. 17 to help you.

MONDAY 7TH NOV. LESSONS

GOOD MORNINGGGGGGG...

Yesterday we watched [t] a video about the Bonfire Night that you can watch HERE 
Then, we did a test (Unit 1 revision- p. 52 in your dossier of copies). You can do it and check your answers with your partners.
After that, we corrected [id] and checked [t] the vocabulary on p. 147 about Holidays and the weather and we added [id] some new words: chilly, drizzle, showers etc....
Finally, we started [id] with the Reading on p. 16 and the pronunciation of the regular form of the simple past p. 17. You can LISTEN TO THIS LINK to practise the pronunciation of the -ED. 

There is NO HOMEWORK for Wednesday...but here I leave you two things you can do to practise these vocabulary:
1) Read and watch a video about the weather forecast in UK (or anywhere in the world). Click here

WED.2nd NOV. LESSON AND HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY 7TH NOV.


Yesterday we corrected the homework (Workbook Unit 1D + Unit 1 review pages 14+15).
We also started Unit 2A- p. 129- SIMPLE PAST and we did a funny,messy writing using this tense.
Finally, we had time to eat some candies and talk and read briefly about Halloween ;o))

HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY:
- Vocabulary- Holidays p. 147
- Find info about HALLOWEEN- Why is the pumpkin called Jack-o-lantern? You can go to the link you have in the post I published about Halloween.

- Finally, find info about BONFIRE NIGHT. You can go here and you can also do this game and also this quiz.
